Impact Instruments represents the two leaders in the world of impact recorders, Shockwatch and SMT-Hybrid, who have both developed a diverse range of models, suiting every application. Impact recorders are used to monitor equipment or cargo either during transit, via scrollable LCD on the recorder, or via live data link software, in real time, or on arrival when dowloading into the analysis software. GPS co-ordinates of exact location, can be downloaded after the trip, or during the journey via when choosing the GPRS/UMTS radio module, which sends data via email at set intervals.
Impacts across all three axes are recorded, together with the shock value, the date and time the shock occured, duration of the shock, direction of the shock, amplitude and frequency. In addition one can choose from a range of sensors to measure tilt, temperature, humidity, pressure, roll, light exposure and GPS which are also stored with associated values.
