MINIMUM TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF IMPACT INSTRUMENTS
ONLINE SHOP TRANSACTIONS
1. Detailed description of goods and/or services
Impact Instruments is a business in the industrial test and measurement industry that represents and distributes for several international manufacturers to the South African market.
2.Delivery policy
Subject to availability and receipt of payment, requests will be processed within 2 days and delivery confirmed by way of order confirmation on email. Courier of items will be via The Courier Guy, with associated costs already included in the price. Items on a lead / delivery time, will be subject to dispatch date from manufacturer, import delivery time and customs clearance. Delays from the manufacturer or customs if applicable, are outside of Impact Instrument’s control
3.Export restriction
The offering on the online shop on the website, is available to South African clients only at this time.
4.Return and Refunds policy
Ex-stock items
No cancellations or refunds are possible on ex-stock items, the onus is on the purchaser to check the specifications of the goods, prior to check out.
Imported items on a delivery / lead time
The provision of goods and services by Impact Instruments is subject to availability. Confirmation of delivery time will be advised in the final step of the Checkout process, prior to accepting payment from the purchaser. The onus is on the purchaser to decide whether to continue the purchase (in the case of ex-import items, on a lead / delivery time) or to terminate the transaction. In the case of purchases being made on ex- import items that are on a lead / delivery time, cancellations will be accepted up to 2 working days (Monday to Friday), from the date of order and payment receipt. A full refund on this cancellation will be made within 30 days.
Returns and Exchanges
Returns are not accepted, unless an instrument is found to be faulty. It will be at the discretion of Impact Instruments, after inspection and assessment of the item in question, as to whether an exchange / swap out will occur. Damage due to incorrect use or negligence is not covered under exchanges / swap outs. If an exchange is made, the balance of the guarantee/warranty period, applies to the swapped out item.
Guarantee / Warranty
All our products carry a minimum 1 year guarantee or warranty. Items such as probes or high wear items, have a 3 month guarantee.
Every item that leaves our office is new and first checked for quality, functionality and defects, before being dispatched.
5.Customer Privacy policy
Impact Instruments shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users. For the purpose of this clause, "personal information" shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA). 6.Payment options accepted on this Online Shop
Payment may be made via Visa, MasterCard or Secure EFT.
7.Pricing
Pricing will include payment gateway fees and courier charges.
8.Card acquiring and security
Card transactions will be acquired for Impact Instruments via PayGate (Pty) Ltd who are the approved payment gateway for all South African Acquiring Banks. PayGate uses the strictest form of encryption, namely Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) and no Card details are stored on the website. Users may go to www.paygate.co.za to view their security certificate and security policy.
9.Customer details separate from card details
Customer details will be stored by Impact Instruments separately from card details, which are entered by the client on PayGate’s secure site. For more detail on PayGate refer to www.paygate.co.za.
10.Merchant Outlet country and transaction currency
The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction currency is South African Rand (ZAR).

Impact Instruments takes responsibility for all aspects relating to the transaction, including sale of goods and services sold on this online shop, on this website, customer service and support, dispute resolution and delivery of goods.

This website is governed by the laws of South Africa and Impact Instruments chooses Fancourt Office Park, Building 18, Cnr Felstead & Northumberland Aves, North Riding, 2169, as its domicilium citandi et executandi, for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature.

Impact Instruments may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.
